Eric and I met on a night out in Downtown HB. I was with my cousin grabbing a drink and Eric was hanging out with one of his friends. As I was getting ready to leave for the night, I noticed someone staring in my direction. When I looked up and saw Eric, it dawned on me that I knew him from somewhere. We started talking and Eric told me that he recognized me as well. For those that don’t know, my cousin and Eric played youth football together starting when they were just 12 years old, and they remained friends throughout the years. We always knew of each other, but in all that time, we never really crossed paths. After talking with Eric for a little, we realized how we knew each other and started to hit it off. Before long, the night was over and lots of time had passed. Right before getting dropped off at home for the night, Eric asked for my number. It took a few months for us to finally go on our first date, but once we did, the rest is history!

Before the proposal weekend, I told Allie that I wanted to go to Temecula with my sister and her boyfriend for a business trip. To throw her off, I told Allie that we would go wine tasting, and she totally fell for it. We checked into our hotel and headed off to Wilson Creek Winery. As soon as we arrived, my sister and her boyfriend told Allie they wanted to go walk around the vineyards. When we got over there, I took Allie down one of them, just the two of us. Right then, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She immediately started crying and couldn’t say yes fast enough! I surprised her by having both our families meet at the winery. The rest of the day we all celebrated and it was a blast. It was easily the best day of our lives! We can’t wait to top it on November 12th!!
