Erica & Zev

Wedding Party

Alexandra McCabe

Escort - Mother of the Bride

Alex—also known by Erica’s friends as “Kris Jenner”, is Erica’s mom and one of her best friends. Growing up, Erica’s childhood was filled with memories of attending many real estate showings, as Alex balanced single motherhood with a successful career as a realtor. For breakfast, Alex would make the girls either toaster strudels with smiley faces or French toast sticks served with maple syrup in a rooster-shaped shot glass. Morning snuggles before school were a daily ritual, giving both Alex and the girls a few extra minutes in bed—because the McCabe girls love their sleep. As Erica grew older and spending time with parents was considered "not cool,” her friends begged to differ. After sleepovers, it wasn’t uncommon to find Erica’s friends waking up early just to sit in the kitchen with Alex, coffee in hand, gossiping like old friends. While most people tend to see their parents less often as they grow up, Erica talks to her mom at least seven times a day and visits her at least once a week. Some of their favorite shared adulthood memories include bougie trips to Peru, Sedona, Aspen, and Italy—where five-star hotels were a must, and dining at world-renowned restaurants was more than a meal—it was an experience. On Erica’s wedding day, there’s no one more fitting to walk her down the aisle than Alex—a comforting, loving presence who just might steal the spotlight in whatever fabulous dress she chooses to wear. Fun Fact: Alex is a tournament-level tennis player

Pearl Halikman

Escort - Grandmother of the Groom

Pearl is Zev’s beloved grandmother, and the two share an extraordinary bond. Growing up, Zev spent more time at Pearl and King’s house than any of his siblings or cousins. Her home was his sanctuary - a place where he could escape the chaos of a full house and enjoy the rare luxury of feeling like an only child. Spoiling him with cheese quesadillas, ice cream shakes, pudding, and dulce de leche, Pearl made every visit feel like a celebration. More than just the treats, Pearl showered Zev with powerful words of affirmation, constantly reminding him that he was special, capable, and destined for great things. Her belief in him became a cornerstone of his confidence and drive in life. To this day, Pearl remains one of Zev’s greatest supporters and closest confidants. Nearly every time he gets in the car, she’s one of the first people he calls, right after Erica, of course. It’s only fitting that someone who has walked beside Zev through every chapter of his life will now walk beside him down the aisle. Fun Fact: Pearl recently starred in a movie about the Rebbe.

Mallory Ferrara

Matron of Honor

Mallory and Erica have always been inseparable. From playing Barbies in the bathtub and getting each other dressed for school, to late-night rollerblading lessons and weekend adventures, their bond has only grown stronger over the years. As the middle of three sisters, Mallory has always been Erica’s fearless, hilarious big sister—the one who sets the trends, makes everyone laugh, and is always the coolest person in the room. In high school, Erica and her friends (Valeria, Jen and Monica) would beg Mallory to let them tag along to bonfires, pool parties, or hangouts with the older crowd—and more often than not, she said yes. Their connection runs deep, through every stage of life—from childhood memories to standing by each other through life’s biggest moments, including the birth of Mallory’s daughter, Maya. Now a top-tier Realtor and proud mama, Mallory is still the life of every party—and there's no doubt she’ll be lighting up the dance floor on wedding night! Fun Fact: Mallory once escaped a cop by climbing on a roof

Daniel Dagan

Best Man

Daniel and Zev met at their local synagogue when they were just 8 or 9 years old. They quickly bonded over a shared love of fishing and a bit of harmless mischief. Zev taught Daniel the ins and outs of fishing, while Daniel (somehow) taught Zev how to get into trouble. Ironically, Daniel ended up the better fisherman, and Zev… well, let’s just say he perfected the art of mischief. The two partners-in-crime were inseparable growing up. It became a daily ritual: after school, one of them would bike 4–5 miles to the other’s house and they’d head out to fish. Friday night sleepovers were common, and entire weekends were spent casting lines and telling tall tales. Their fishing streak continued strong, until high school, when the mysterious “curse” hit Zev, bringing him nothing but bad luck with every cast. So they pivoted to rock climbing and playing water polo in a spring-fed lake Daniel somehow had access to (still a mystery to this day). Now, over 20 years later, they still act more like brothers than friends. Their conversations mostly consist of hilariously terrible jokes and insults…because for them, sarcasm and roasting each other is the ultimate love language. Fun Fact: Daniel has three nipples. Make of that what you will.

Monica McCabe

Maid of Honor

Monica is the oldest of the McCabe sisters and was often "too cool" to hangout with Erica and Mallory. Some of Erica’s earliest memories with Monica include playing basketball in the driveway, climbing trees on the neighborhood golf course, and chasing the local Santa Claus truck that would drive through the neighborhood every Christmas. One time, Monica convinced Erica to climb into a suitcase—before pushing her down the stairs, it was so much fun! Monica is a creative fashion designer and the owner of Vintage Monified, where she brings new life to vintage pieces. She loves going on walks and watching movies with her adorable golden retriever, Lilly. Fun Fact: Monica is a boater.

Daniel Marquez

Groomsman

Daniel, also known as Marquez, met Zev at the very first practice of the FAU Men’s Water Polo Club in 2013. They shared a lane line during the swim set and, without saying a word, silently battled over who had the superior speed and endurance. That friendly rivalry quickly turned into mutual respect and the start of a great friendship. After five years of sharing time on and off the pool deck, the two managed to stay close even as post-college friendships came and went. Daniel is one of “Da Boyz,” an elite group of FAU brethren with whom Zev spent the bulk of his free time during college. Despite living far apart, they still talk often and make a point to visit each other at least once or twice a year. And in a fun twist of fate, it turns out Daniel’s older sister, Mariah, is friends with Erica’s older sister, Monica. Small world, right? Fun Fact: Daniel earned his master’s degree from MIT. Yes, he’s that smart.

Taylor Molina

Bridesmaid

Tay and Erica grew up side by side, with endless sleepovers, spending almost every Halloween together, and creating countless childhood memories. Though Taylor is Erica’s age, she became best friends with Mallory, Erica’s older sister—where she became a staple in the family. Taylor was always at the house, part of every family celebration, and even lived with Erica’s mom for a time. Their late teen years were full of mischief, from bonfires in Loxahatchee and college parties at FSU to late nights at the iconic Camelot in West Palm Beach. As they got older, wild nights out turned into unforgettable girls’ trips. They’ve traveled the world together—hiking Machu Picchu in Peru, skiing the blues and blacks in Aspen, and celebrating Mallory's bachelorette in the Dominican Republic. Their favorite nights, though, have always been consistent: dinners at Buccan—a beloved Palm Beach spot where all four sisters—Monica, Mallory, Taylor, and Erica—once worked. It’s only fitting that Taylor stands by Erica’s side as a bridesmaid—because in every way that matters, she is family. Fun Fact: Taylor has a double bachelor's in accounting and finance

Erik Bing

Groomsman

Bing and Zev speak the same language: ADHD. They met on the first day of astrology class at FAU during Zev’s sophomore year. By the end of class, the two had hit it off so well that sitting together became an unspoken tradition. That same evening at water polo practice, guess who rolled up on his signature bike? Yep—Bing. The two were excited to run into each other again so soon and continued the good vibes in the pool. Bing quickly became part of “Da Boyz,” Zev’s tight-knit FAU crew. Their lives overlapped on all fronts—working together at The Breakers, studying side-by-side as business majors, and playing together on the water polo team. For years, they saw each other just about every day. Fun Fact: Bing was the fastest swimmer on the team by a long shot. The guy can fly in the water.

Valeria Leiva

Bridesmaid

Valeria and Erica first met in 7th grade gym class when they were placed in the same attendance group by last name—sparking a friendship that’s lasted over 18 years and counting. In those early middle school days, they quickly became inseparable. They would convince their gym teacher into letting them “organize” the supply closet—just an excuse to skip running the mile and hang out. If one of them was sick or skipping school, the other would follow suit, no questions asked. Since driving wasn’t an option yet, they spent endless summers biking to Jimmy Johns or walking to nearby plazas and taking random photos with CVS disposable cameras. When high school came around, Valeria and Erica ended up at different schools, but the distance only made their bond stronger. Erica was there for Valeria’s very first date—helping her get ready, cheering her on, and staying over afterward to hear every last detail. And when it came time for prom, Erica brought Valeria as her date instead of her boyfriend at the time—renting a limo, attending the after party, and having more fun than she ever expected. Through every season of life, Valeria has remained loyal, thoughtful, and endlessly fun—the kind of friend who always shows up. So it’s only fitting that she’s standing beside Erica on her wedding day, just as she always has. Fun Fact: Valeria knows every word to every bad bunny song ever.

Hakar Torres

Groomsman

Hakar is the reason Zev passed geometry in 10th grade—and the reason he joined the swim and water polo team. If you know Zev at all, you'll understand the gravity of that introduction! Their friendship started in high school, when they ended up sitting next to each other in class. It didn’t take long before they were hanging out all the time, and Hakar quickly became a central figure in Zev’s life. Although they went to different colleges, their bond stayed strong. During those years, they took trips together, explored Miami, and even traveled to places like Costa Rica. To this day, they still keep in touch often and call each other to talk about life, adventures, and everything in between. Fun Fact: Hakar really, really loves cheese.

Jen Bachi

Bridesmaid

Jen (formally known as Jenny) and Erica met on the school bus in 9th grade, where they bonded over sitting in the front row together. Not long after, Monica joined the mix and the trio amigos were born. Although Jen and Erica ran in different friend groups in high school, their friendship blossomed through time spent together outside of school. Jen even got Erica a job at Kobasko’s Kreamery—the ice cream shop where she worked—where they strategically figured out ways to increase their tips while hooking up their friends with $1 ice creams. As they got older, their nights out turned into fun memories at Pawn Shop and Camelot, always ending with a stop at Nico’s Pizza. Jen went on to attend Duke University in North Carolina, where Erica visited a few times—reliving college nights at Shooters and singing along to Mr. Brightside (Erica’s favorite song). In a fun twist of fate, Jen later met her now-husband at Duke, who just so happened to go to high school with Erica’s sister and shares mutual friends with Erica’s family—full circle. Today, the two are closer than ever. Erica loves visiting Jen in Texas, and whenever Jen is in Florida, their go-to ritual is happy hour in Palm Beach and catching up with Ericas mom. Jen is sharp, funny, and clever—and such a thoughtful friend, she’s the kind of staple bridesmaid every bride hopes for, and one Erica is so lucky to have by her side. Fun Fact: Jen is a marathon runner with splits of 9:05

Danny Williams

Groomsman

Dan the Man and Z-Dog had mutual friends in high school, but they didn’t truly connect until senior year in entrepreneurship class. When Mr. Calado asked everyone where they were heading for college, they discovered they were both bound for FAU. Hooty Hoo! Despite Mr. Calado’s warning that “friendships are ruined by becoming roommates,” Danny and Zev ignored the cautionary tale—and never looked back. Daniel became the original “Da Boy,” even before the rest of the FAU crew entered the picture. He taught Zev how to ride a longboard so they could conquer the campus together—and conquer it they did. They remained roommates all through college (and a bit beyond), hosting the go-to hangout spot for “Da Boyz.” Their place was always the one with the best vibes, the best people, and probably the worst sleep schedules. Though Daniel was the most recent Boy to move out of South Florida, he and Zev still stay close—and recently reunited to shred some powdah in Daniel’s new hometown of Asheville. Fun Fact: Daniel and Zev once traveled to Jamaica where they visited Bob Marley’s home and stood on the spot where “Three Little Birds” was written.

Monica Newman

Bridesmaid

Monica and Erica also met on the magical school bus in 9th grade, along with Jenny—forming the trio amigos for life. Monica’s sunny personality made her easy to talk to, and she was the kind of girl who not only made friends with the bus driver but somehow managed to get her favorite songs played during the ride to school. In high school, Monica and Erica sat together at lunch almost every day, occasionally joining Jenny “by appointment”. Outside of school, they spent most of their time tanning by Monica’s pool, baking chocolate peanut butter cakes (Monica’s favorite), or having sleepovers at Erica’s house—where Monica would always be the first one up in the morning, sipping coffee and gossiping with Erica’s mom. Later, Monica went off to UCF and eventually moved to Colorado, but distance never got in the way of their friendship. The two always made time for girls’ trips—Austin, TX to visit Jenny, California to see The Ellen Show, and plenty of unforgettable bachelorettes in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Tennessee. Through every season of life, from wild nights to big life changes, they’ve been there for each other through it all. These days, you can still find Monica and Erica at happy hour—usually at Imoto, sipping dirty martinis with the girls… and, of course, Erica’s mom. Monica is the funnest girl in the room and will be smiling (and probably crying) as she stands by Erica’s side on her wedding day. Fun Fact: Monica travels to at least 2 countries a year

Dejan Lukic

Groomsman

Dejan and Zev go way back—middle school, to be exact. They met through a mutual friend, Garret, who shared Zev’s obsession with fishing. Naturally, Dejan got pulled into the mix, and soon Zev introduced him to Daniel (Best Man). The trio became inseparable fishing buddies. That could’ve been the whole story—but it turns out Dejan was also on the LHHS Water Polo team. Once Zev joined, their friendship exploded. Now, to address the elephant in the room: back then, Dejan had a bit of a reputation. Most people thought he was a relentless menace—pellet guns in the locker room, towel whips, wet willies, putting teammates’ cars in neutral on the highway, ear pulling, and endless trash talk. No lies here. But Zev saw past the chaos and found a loyal, hilarious, and solid friend underneath it all. They’ve stayed close ever since. Dejan rarely comes to South Florida without stopping by Zev’s place, and Zev never hits Orlando without linking up with Dejan. Fun Fact: Zev once bet Dejan his $500 Daiwa Saltist fishing reel that he’d score more goals senior year. Dejan—who was the reigning MVP—won the bet, broke his own record, and took MVP again. Zev still feels that one.

Rob Schram

Groomsman

Rob and Zev met during Zev’s freshman year at FAU—where else? Water polo. Rob came in with a serious water polo résumé: back-to-back state championships in high school and a stint playing NCAA ball. So at first, he didn’t think much of the new guy. That is, until the night of FAU’s Rap Battle concert, when he witnessed Z to the E to the V grab the mic and drop bars. That was the moment Rob knew—Zev was the real deal. After the concert, Rob headed back to Danny and Zev’s dorm to celebrate their last-place finish with some kosher food. Not long after, Rob helped Zev land a job at The Breakers, and the two spent years keeping Palm Beach’s ultra-wealthy vacationers safe (and entertained). As one of the last two “Boyz” still living in South Florida, Rob and Zev continue to hang out and talk often. Fun Fact: Rob has a red tattoo on his butt. Ask to see it—we dare you.

Yosiah Bohannon

Groomsman

Yosiah, aka Yoshie, met Zev during their freshman year of college when they shared the same dorm. From the start, Yoshie’s vibrant energy and outgoing personality stood out. With shared interests outside of class, Yosh, Zev, and their friend Danny naturally formed a tight-knit trio, spending countless hours hanging out, laughing, and building a friendship that would last well beyond college. When it came time to move off campus, Zev and Danny didn’t hesitate to ask Yosh to be their roommate and luckily, the timing was perfect. Thus began the golden era of Da Boyz. Their apartment became a revolving door of friends, sports debates, and late-night hangouts. And if there was ever a voice above the rest, it was undoubtedly Yosh. Yoshie taught Zev what it meant to be a true sports fan. His unwavering loyalty to the Heat and Dolphins, his boundless enthusiasm, and his near-religious dedication to game days rubbed off on Zev. The two shared the highs and heartbreaks of countless Super Bowls and NBA Finals together - bonding over every win and loss. Though they no longer live in the same place, the bond remains strong and Zev couldn’t imagine this day without Yoshie standing by his side. Fun Fact: Even if you are a Heat fan you can still root for Lebron to beat them in the playoffs. That does NOT make you less of a Heat fan. Don't you dare say otherwise...
