Taylor and Erica met on their first day as nurses during orientation at UIHC in September 2017. Over the next couple months, they would see each other at nurse residency. It took them working on a group project together for Taylor to make his move. As soon as Erica had left residency that day, Taylor sent a message asking Erica out for dinner and drinks. The rest is history.

Taylor proposed the morning before going home for the holidays. Erica came home and walked into the kitchen to be surprised by candles and roses lining the walk way. Marry Me by Bruno Mars was playing in the background as Taylor got down on one knee to pop the question.
