Matron of Honor - In Loving Memory
LaJuana Johnson Dawson was Erica's sister. LaJuana was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a beautiful daughter, and the perfect sister - a force - that has had a vital hand in shaping Erica. Erica has never had to venture outside of her brother (Theon) and her sister to find friendship. LaJuana and Theon are Erica's first and best friends. Erica counts herself as immeasurably blessed to have shared time and space with LaJuana as sisters. Erica is grateful that Phillip had the opportunity to meet LaJuana shortly before her passing in April of 2024, a connection and memory that means so much as they begin their life together.

Brittany Harris Beauchman and Erica met through Phillip, of course, in May of 2024! Brittany and Erica have enjoyed many family moments together including, gumbo nights, impromptu talent shows (by Zara and Zayn), and galas! Brittany often makes Erica laugh with her witty comebacks. Brittany is insanely talented and can create/find anything online (#TheYelpGoddess)! Brittany currently works on the leadership team for Wells Fargo.

Erica's greatest friend on the West Coast! Kelly keeps Erica up to date on all of the latest gems and tech of San Francisco! Kelly and Erica met in July 2018 as co-workers at a tech start-up in San Francisco. We instantly bonded as we worked together in fast-paced, ever changing environment. Kelly now works as a Realtor in San Francisco - securing her first close in November 2025!

Angela and Erica met at Jackson State University in 2013. Angela and Erica were line sisters in the Spring '14 Gamma Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Angela has since become one of Erica's closest friends, navigating and keeping each other up to date on the many changes of life - typically over great food! Angela works as an Educator in McComb, Mississippi!

When friends become family! Classy, Erica, Theon and LaJuana all met at Glide Memorial Church over a decade ago. Theon, LaJuana, and Erica instantly adopted Classy as their sister! Classy works as a Behavioral Specialist and Educator in San Francisco, CA. Classy played a special role in bringing Phillip and Erica together!
Alfonso Taylor

Phillip and Alfonso met in August of 1999, in the 5th grade. From grade school to adult life, they've been friends for over 25 years and have lots stories and good times from basketball games, Sunday brunches, video game sessions to bachelor parties. Alfonso has over a dozen years of sales experience working for Google, Uber, Survey Monkey, and Waymo.
Naseem Beauchman

Naseem is Phillip's brother in law and they've enjoyed holiday travel, banquet dinners, lively sports and work discussions, and even some babysitting practice on Phillip's end. Dr. Naseem has a private practice as an orthopedic surgeon.
Colton Walker

A former motor cross guru, Colton is one of Phillip's oldest friends, they met in Jack & Jill in kindergarten. Colton always provides both wisdom and laughs for "the crew." He works as a software engineer in San Francisco.
Damien Sneed

Phillip and Damien met in 2018 through mutual friends and family. They recorded an album together shortly after meeting and have been friends and musical collaborators since then. From an impromptu holiday roadtrip a couple years ago, to Super Bowl Parties, and many musical conversations, Damien is a highly accomplished diverse musician and professor of music at Howard University, Juilliard, and Berklee College of Music.
