Smithville is a historic town with quaint shops and dining and is only a 10 minute drive from the wedding venue. Erica grew up coming here with family and Noah and Erica have visited any time we are home for the holidays.
Erica and her family grew up coming to Ocean City to walk the boardwalk and relax on the beach. This is one of our favorite shore towns at the Jersey Shore and is about 30 minutes from our wedding venue. Some of our favorite spots on the boardwalk are the amusement parks, Manco & Manco Pizza (a Jersey Shore treasure) and one of the many fudge and salt water taffy shops.
Cape May is a historic Victorian shore town about 45 minutes from Galloway, and is known for its beautiful architecture, delicious food and drinks, quaint shops, and beautiful beaches. If you are looking for a day trip to walk around and enjoy the sunshine we highly recommend visiting Cape May.
Atlantic City is known for its many casinos, as well as the boardwalk with shops and beautiful beaches. There are also plenty of shopping outlets and restaurants to explore.
The historic Old City section of Philadelphia, famously known as the birthplace of American Independence, is full of famous historical landmarks including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, Penn's Landing, among other places. There are also a lot of excellent dining, drink, and shopping options in Old City. We would highly recommend visiting this section of the city if you are around this area. This is about 1- 1.5 hours from the wedding venue.
Erica and her family grew up going to Wildwood every year for fun amusement and water parks. Wildwood has a boardwalk with tons of attractions and things to do to keep you busy.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art is home to a countless number of art pieces from all over the world. Bonus, you could also run up the Rocky steps while you're there!
This is one of Erica's favorite spots to go to during the summer. This park is right on the river and has hammocks, a beer garden, food, and games for a relaxing night out with friends.
If you are into art and unique exhibits, definitely check out the Philadelphia Magic Gardens. This is a gallery/outdoor garden made completely out of mosaics. There are also a lot of food and shopping options on this same street that you can check out after the exhibit.
