WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

I think the most common response we got when announcing our engagement was that it was about time! We can't argue as we have been together over 10 years now. We have tons of memories over the years dating back to when we met at Hillside Middle School and instantly became good friends. A few years later (after three unsuccessful attempts by Nelson) we decided to start dating and haven't looked back! Over the years, we have taken many trips and especially love a good roadtrip. In November 2021 Nelson suggested a long weekend in Milwaukee. We took off in the car after work, enjoyed Taco Bell for dinner, and arrived at a cute bed and breakfast in the city around 8:00 pm. We were greeted by the innkeeper Tom who gave us a tour of the historic building. We decided to stay in for the night, changed into fuzzy robes, and Nelson chose to watch "The Marriage Story" from the huge selection of DVDs available at the b and b. Before we could start our movie, Nelson said he brought an activity for us to do. He pulled out a custom jigsaw puzzles with photos of us from over the years. This was a huge surprise given Nelson hates puzzles, but Erica loves them! We did the puzzle together and noticed the final piece was missing. Nelson started looking through his backpack to see if the piece had fallen out and pulled out a ring box! He got on one knee and proposed right there in our little bed and breakfast room just the two of us. It was perfect!
