Dear family and friends, We hope this note finds you well and staying healthy. We are writing to let you know we’ve had a change of plans for our original wedding celebration. After giving it a lot of thought, we have made the difficult decision to downsize to an intimate, simple ceremony with immediate family members only. This was based on several factors, including wanting to avoid the stress of re-planning a big wedding. While we wish we could celebrate this special day with all of you, we didn’t want to wait any longer to say ‘I do’ and have chosen to make it official next month! Please accept our apologies for not having you with us on our big (small!) day. We much appreciate your continued love and support, and while we feel this is the right decision for us, we hope you understand it was not an easy one to make. With love, Erica & Matt
It was a Friday evening in late September, and Erica was riding the train home so Matt could pick her up to drive out to the Vanderbilt planetarium. They were going to use the observatory's telescope to get a limited time view of Saturn and catch the late night star show. After the planetarium emptied out, which doesn't take long on a week night (highly recommend), they decided to walk along the water and watch the boats go by on the sound. Then Matt got down on one knee and asked the magic question, and of course Erica said yes (hence why you are reading this)!
