FAQs

Question

What is the policy regarding COVID?

Answer

Out of a strong desire to keep our beloved family and friends safe and healthy, we will be requiring proof of vaccination. This will take place closer to the date with the RSVP. Additionally, if you are not feeling well prior to the wedding we ask that you please stay home. As much as we would love to have you, we want everyone to stay well.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you be seated by 5:30PM, to make sure the service can start on time. The doors will be closing, so if you are not inside the church before the start of the ceremony you will not be able to enter.

Question

Can we bring kids?

Answer

Although we love little ones (and especially yours!), unfortunately our venue is unsuitable for children under 13. There are some exceptions for family and out-of town guests, and these children are specifically listed in your RSVP, if this is the case. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, evening gowns, or Indian attire, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat or Indian attire. Just don't wear white! :)

Question

What happens after the church ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no", so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring additional guests?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay within the numbers allowed by our venues. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. We will not have chairs for extra guests, so please only bring those listed on your invitation.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have three hotel blocks listed on the "Travel" section of the website! These are first come, first serve so please keep that in mind when planning! If the wedding blocks are full we recommend staying in the Decatur area as that is closest to all of the events. There are Airbnb's and other hotels are available in the area.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

We will be having you RSVP online only by March 27th! You will not need to "snail mail" back an RSVP!

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

There will not be transportation provided between the hotel and the venues, but there is a parking lot outside the Fernbank and Clairmont Presbyterian. You are also allowed leave your car overnight at the Fernbank, if required for any reason!

Question

Are the museum exhibits open for the wedding day?

Answer

Unfortunately, they will closed for the event. Additionally, please note that all rules and regulations of the museum must be followed. This means you are not allowed to touch/climb on the dinosaur or any other exhibits in the great hall where the reception is being held. If you break it you buy it!

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?
