How we met

He had been showing up in my inbox for a while—persistent, but never disrespectful. Just little hellos, check-ins, and quiet attempts to get my attention. I noticed, of course… I just wasn’t ready to respond. Not yet. But something about him kept him from being ignored completely. There was a sincerity there I couldn’t quite shake. And then one day, I finally answered. That one reply turned into a conversation that felt easy… natural… like we had known each other longer than we actually had. The kind of conversation that makes you lose track of time and smile at your phone without even realizing it. Not long after, we planned our first date. Five years ago today, we met at a winery in Grafton Winery & Brewhaus in the charming river town of Grafton. The setting was beautiful—rolling views, soft air, and the kind of peaceful atmosphere that makes everything feel a little more meaningful. But what made that day unforgettable wasn’t just the scenery… It was him. From the moment we sat down, everything just clicked. The conversation flowed effortlessly, the laughter came naturally, and for the first time in a long time, I felt completely at ease. He wasn’t just someone I was getting to know—he felt familiar, comforting, and exciting all at once. That day became the best date I had ever experienced. And somehow, it only got better from there. What started as a message I almost ignored turned into something real… something deep… something lasting. Through life’s ups and downs, we’ve grown together, supported each other, and built something rooted in love, patience, and understanding. Five years later, I can still see that man in my inbox—hopeful, consistent, and choosing me. And I’m so glad… I finally chose him too. The rest? It’s been history. ❤️
