Erica and Josh’s story starts on a dance floor—at a local country swing bar Erica and her roommate Maggie went to every Thursday. Week after week, Erica noticed one particular dancer and pointed out to Maggie how cute and talented he was. One night, that same guy—Josh—came over and asked if one of them wanted to dance. Maggie gave Erica a nudge and sent her out to the dance floor From that moment on, seeing Josh became a weekly highlight. What started as shared dances quickly grew into conversations, laughter, and a meaningful connection. Before long, Josh asked Erica out with coffee, ice cream, anything that would give them time together outside the bar. Despite her growing feelings, Erica declined each time, unsure about where he stood in his faith. Not long after, Erica left for a month-long trip to Europe. Josh was constantly on her mind. Back home, Josh’s life was changing as he began centering it around his faith in Christ. When Erica returned and saw this transformation, everything felt different and right. They began dating shortly before Josh deployed. They stayed close through long conversations, shared faith, and many late nights despite an 11-hour time difference. By the time Josh returned home, their bond had only grown stronger, and they both knew they had found the person they wanted to spend their lives with.
