How do I plant my invitation?

Answer

Step 1: Tear the card into smaller pieces. Step 2: Wet the paper. Step 3: Place your seed paper on top of the soil and cover with 1/4" of soil. Make sure the pot is at least 4" wide. The ideal spot would get 6-8 hours of direct sunlight a day. Step 4: Water daily and watch it grow!

Is the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Yes! Everything will take place at Ivy House.

What’s the dress code?

Answer

The vibe is upscale whimsical garden party. Dress in what you feel comfortable in -- colors are encouraged! Plan accordingly for spring weather in Michigan!

Will there be a shuttle?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle running to and from Ivy House. Please see the Accommodations tab for more information.

Where will the shuttle pick up?

Answer

Shuttles will pick up and drop off at at addresses below. Pick whichever is most convenient for you! - Best Western Saugatuck (3457 Blue Star Hwy, Saugatuck, MI 49453) - Coral Gables (220 Water St, Saugatuck, MI 49453) - Douglas Elementary (261 W Randolph St, Douglas, MI 49406) - 841 Holland Street, Saugatuck, MI 49453 Exact times will be shared closer to the wedding.

Are there Ubers/Lyfts available in Saugatuck?

Answer

No! Uber and Lyft are hard to come by in Saugatuck. Please see the Accommodations tab for information on shuttles and taxis.

Can I drive myself?

Answer

Yes! There is free parking available at the venue. Guests are welcome to leave their car overnight and pick it up in the morning.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve reserved a room block at Best Western Saugatuck. There are also many great boutique hotels and Airbnbs/Vrbos in downtown Saugatuck and Douglas.

Do I need to book early?

Answer

Yes — Saugatuck is especially busy during wedding season, so we recommend booking accommodations as soon as possible.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” you’re welcome to bring a date. Otherwise, we’re keeping our celebration intimate.

Are children invited?

We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration.

OF COURSE! Please celebrate responsibly and use the shuttle if needed.

We’re having an unplugged ceremony — please keep phones tucked away until cocktail hour. After that, snap away and share the love!
