Sinks Canyon State Park
Sinks Canyon is located 15 minutes from Lander. It is a beautiful canyon with several hikes (including one to a waterfall!), rock climbing, mountain biking and fishing.
Lander Bar & Grill
Great casual dining located right on main street. It has great burgers, pizzas and beverages. Look out for live music on the patio most weekends during the summer.
Pushroot Brewing Company
New brewery that just opened up this year! It is a fun, casual hang out spot with excellent beer options.
Johnny Behind the Rocks Trail System
Lots of local areas to mountain bike including Johnny Behind the Rocks, The Bus Loop, Sinks Canyon State Park and Upper/Lower Brewers. You can look in to renting a mountain bike at Gannett Peak Sports. Watch out for rattlesnakes this time of year.
Wild Iris Climbing
Great spot for rock climbing and for looking at wild flowers! Located about 30 minutes from town.
Cowfish
Nicer restaurant right on Main Street in Lander.
Mulino Bistro
The nicest restaurant in town! Great italian eating.
Whitebark Cafe
Great coffee and pastries! Be sure to get there early as the pastries go quick.
Red Canyon
Lots of fishing opportunities in Fremont County. Red Canyon is one of our local favorites. It is just 15 minutes outside of town.
Wind River Range
Lander is located at the base of the Wind River Mountain Range. There are lots of places for sight seeing and hiking in the area. Let us know if you want any hiking recommendations!
