Mitchell was Jack's neighbor and high school classmate in South Florida. They bonded over a mutual love of music, movies, and adventures and both ended up living in Denver, CO.

Jack and Tony met when their bands played a show together in 2010. After a post-show hang, they realized they have many mutual interests, including comic books, video games, and sports. Once Jack moved to Columbus, he and Tony hung out a lot, played many shows, and did lots of video work together.
