We met at the Dwell at McEwen Apartment Complex pool in Franklin, TN Spring of 2017! We both had separate apartments in the complex and after a short period of time, became a couple. We will forever be close "neighbors" and Franklin will always have a special place in our hearts.

We had long-planned a trip to Wilmington, NC to celebrate the July 4th week with Garrett's family. After we were on the road Garrett surprised me with a short detour to Charleston, SC for two days. I was shocked he could keep such a secret since I had recently been talking about how I've always wanted to visit and it was one of his favorite places. On the hot and humid evening of June 30th, 2018, Garrett planned a dinner at a location he insisted on keeping a surprise and was sure that I would love. We had time to kill prior to our reservation so he suggested we head to the battery to sight see, etc. He had been on his phone all day "working" so I was still not suspicious. After walking around the Gazebo numerous times in hopes tourist would clear out, the photographer Garrett hired asked the remaining tourist to clear out when I wasn't looking. Garrett finally got me to walk up the steps of the iconic Gazebo where he got on one knee. I said YES as tourist around began to cheer. Just like that, we were engaged! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Nashville!
