Our story begins with the Villanova Band, which first brought our two lovebirds together. While Erica and David had crossed paths several times before, their first real conversation occurred on the bus ride back from Fall Tour in 2019. As the two bantered during the long ride, they realized that there was a spark of (bio)chemistry. At one point during the bus ride, Erica showed off her shark stuffed animal that she purchased during the trip. Naturally, David saw this as a perfect opportunity for tomfoolery and he quietly stole it when Erica wasn't paying attention. What followed was a game of cat and mouse, with Erica persistently trying to get David to confess to his crime while he vehemently denied all accusations despite the stuffed animal hidden snuggly under his shirt. By the end of the bus ride, the shark was returned to its rightful owner, and David felt victorious knowing that he had pulled a fast one on Erica. Little did he know that while he was stealing Erica's stuffed animal, Erica had already stolen his heart. After that day, the two quickly became a part of each other's lives. From spending long nights studying together at the library to exchanging their favorite memes, Erica and David became close friends. The friendship evolved into something more after a spirited Christmas party, that resulted in Erica and David leaving the party early to take care of their friend. The two realized that the night was still young, so Erica proposed they play the hit game "Fireboy and Watergirl in the Forest Temple," so they could spend more time together, to which David eagerly agreed. What followed was a grueling two hours of keyboard clicking and competitive digs as the two toiled through all 32 levels of the game. Once the dynamic duo successfully completed the game, they recognized how well they worked together. That night marked the beginning of a team that would persevere through college and medical/dental school, eventually leading to Erica saying "I do."
