Head to Circular Quay to see some of Sydney's most iconic landmarks, the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Easily accessible by train, bus, and light rail. Enjoy a drink at the Opera Bar with stunning views of Sydney, then take a walk around The Rocks (Sydney's oldest suburb). Other sites to visit which are close by, the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA). Ferries leave regularly from Circular Quay, offering scenic routes to Manly, Watsons Bay, Taronga Zoo, and other parts of the harbour.
The Eastern Suburbs is home to the world-famous Bondi (bond-eye) beach. Bondi has a great selection of beachfront bars and restaurants. If you want to earn your beer, check out the Bondi to Coogee walk (6km/3.5 miles) which is a cliffside walk from one beach to another, and then enjoy a cold beer at the Coogee Pavilion upon arrival. Paddington is a great shopping district to walk around and explore with boutiques, cafes, and restaurants.
Sydney’s Inner West is known for its creative energy, thrift shops, great food, and craft beer scene. For a brewery crawl, start in Marrickville at Batch, then wander to Sauce, Philter, and Grifter, all within walking distance. Finish at Young Henry's in Newtown.
The Blue Mountains, about two hours from Sydney, is known for dramatic cliffs, ancient forests, fresh mountain air, and a rich Aboriginal history. There are plenty of walking tracks, waterfalls, the famous Three Sisters, and villages like Katoomba and Leura. Note: Please check each trail before setting off, as some can be very challenging due to the steepness.
