We are Getting married!

It was a Tuesday evening in August of 2021 when Erica and Corey first crossed paths at The Porch, a young adult gathering at Watermark Church in Dallas. Neither of them had planned for that night to be life-changing—it was just another evening spent worshiping, learning, and connecting with like-minded people. But fate, as it often does, had other plans. Erica and Corey were just about to start Chiropractic school the following week when a group of people in their class decided to get together to attend The Porch. Erica got there early as always and Corey snuck in right before the service was about to start and sat next to Erica. They immediately hit it off. Corey had just moved to Dallas and was soaking in the newness of the city and the community at Watermark Church. He didn’t know a soul in the room that night but was eager to meet people. Little did he know, he was about to meet his future wife. Erica was the one to ask Corey for his number to send him quizlets to help study for their upcoming exam. She will never let that down! As they began to communicate at school and text often, Corey finally asked Erica to go to a Flatland Concert. You would think this was the first date, but Tyler and Cody tagged along! They continued to talk and go on dates and eventually Corey asked Erica to be his Girlfriend on January 8, 2022 after going to dinner with Erica’s entire family (nerve racking I know). Luckily, she didn’t run him away! And now, here they are, celebrating the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, proof that sometimes, the most unexpected nights can lead to the most beautiful stories.
