Everyone knows we love a ghost tour, and this was the best we have ever done. We recommend the French Quarter Ghosts & Legends Tour.
History buffs may want to stop by this museum. Erica's father is more excited about this than her wedding.
You can't go to New Orleans without getting a beignet. If you want to skip the line at Cafe Du Monde, we also recommend Cafe Beignet.
We had to wait in line for this fried chicken, but it was well worth it.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have dined here. Nothing else needs to be said.
We always grab a drink at the Carousel Bar whenever we are in New Orleans. We recommend going early and grabbing a Bloody Mary to get a seat.
Frenchmen Street is best known for the three-block section in the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood that is home to some of the city's popular live-music.
Located in the French Quarter, Royal Street is one of the city's original streets, dating from the early 18th century. Today, it's known for its antique shops, art galleries, and hotels.
Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop was built between 1722 and 1732 and is reputed to be the oldest structure used as a bar in the United States. The building is said to be haunted by pirate and privateer Jean Lafitte, and we are believers because he appeared in one of our photos from our first trip to New Orleans.. Please, ask us about this photo. We would love to show you.
Everyone knows about New Orleans' French Quarter, but we tend to prefer the Garden District in our old age. The oak-shaded streets are lined with a diverse mix of homes, including the grand historic mansions and lavish gardens on St. Charles Avenue. Boutiques and antique shops sit alongside fine-dining restaurants, casual cafes, and local bars on and around Magazine Street.
We have toured this cemetery a number of times and consider it a must-see in New Orleans. The renowned Voodoo priestess Marie Laveau is believed to be interred here along with other notable New Orleanians. In 2010, Nicolas Cage purchased a pyramid-shaped tomb in the cemetery to be his future final resting place.
Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 is a historic cemetery in the Garden District neighborhood. It is also the most filmed cemetery in New Orleans. Scenes from Hard Target, Interview with the Vampire, Double Jeopardy, Dracula, Deja Vu, Jonah Hex, Black and Blue, The Originals, and The Vampire Diaries have all been filmed here. Shocker, we recommend doing a tour.
We have weirdly never eaten here, but it's a New Orleans staple.
Ignore your age and enjoy a few Hurricanes.
Brennan's is another fine-dining landmark in New Orleans.
A great place for upscale seafood.
