Question

Are masks required?

Answer

Masks are optional if you are fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated, we are asking guests to wear a mask at all times, except when you are actively eating or drinking.

What are your expectations regarding COVID-19 vaccination status for guests?

Answer

The bride, groom, and their families are fully vaccinated. We hope you will be as well. If you are not fully vaccinated at the time of our wedding, we and the venue require that you wear a mask at all times, except when you are actively eating or drinking. Although we are not requiring guests to show proof of vaccination, we respectfully ask that you abide by the mask protocol if you are unvaccinated.

What kind of attire should I wear?

Answer

For our Thursday Welcome Party at Westlake Village Inn, most of our guests will dress more casually in both Indian and non-Indian clothes. The Welcome Party venue is an indoor-outdoor space. Expect the temperatures to be comfortable, in the low to mid 70s. Our Friday ceremony will be a non-denominational exchange of vows ceremony at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. The ceremony space is outdoors, while the reception will take place in a tented pavilion. You will see guests in cocktail/semi-formal attire as well as traditional Indian clothing.

Can I bring a date?

Yes! We're extending a warm welcome to your plus one.

What kind of weather should I prepare for?

Answer

Southern California in September is usually very warm and temperate. Expect pleasant temperatures in the lower to high-70s.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures for about an hour. Guests may enjoy cocktail hour on The Pavilion lawn. Appetizers and beverages will be served.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

For guests who are driving, Calamigos Ranch provides complimentary valet services. Valet services are marked by signs throughout the property.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Will transportation be provided between the hotels and Calamigos Ranch?

Answer

We will arrange for charter bus transportation between hotels and the venue. Charter buses will only run at designated times. Guests who need to travel more frequently between the hotel and venue should arrange their own transportation.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels! We ask that posts include our wedding hashtag #shewannabeabala.

Question

My circumstances changed and I need to update my RSVP. How can I do that?

Answer

You can update your RSVP on the website anytime. We just ask that you update your RSVP as soon as you become aware of a change in your plans. Although we understand that last minute changes can and will come up, we ask that you do your best to make your RSVP change no later than September 10.
