It all started in October 2022 with a game of "Two Truths and a Lie" on Hinge. Brannon took a gamble and guessed that Erica’s claim of not knowing how to ride a bike was a lie. As it turned out, Erica really couldn’t ride a bike. After a few days of texting, they met for their first date: a San Jose Sharks game. The moment Erica stepped out of her car sporting a Sharks jersey, Brannon knew she was special. Even though Erica was leaving for Guatemala just days later, Brannon asked if they could go on one more date, so they ended up grabbing dinner and a movie and texted the whole time while she was in Guatemala. Once Erica got back, they continued dating and officially became boyfriend and girlfriend shortly after, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Their last three years have been filled with countless memories, including whirlwind travels (Hawaii, Virginia, Lake Tahoe, Disneyland), sporting events (Giants and Sharks), wine tastings, country concerts, and so much more! Fast forward to a little over two and a half years to a "casual" wine tasting at Calera Winery. Despite their friends "bailing" at the last minute, the day took a magical turn when a worker asked if they wanted a private cave tour. Surrounded by flowers and photos of their journey together, Brannon got down on one knee and popped the question. The surprises didn't end there—what Erica thought was a surprise birthday party at Danny and Nicole’s turned out to be a joyous surprise engagement celebration with their favorite people. Fast forward a few months later in the midst of wedding planning, Brannon and Erica purchased their first home together in Morgan Hill where they plan to continue building their life together!
