FAQs

The Wedding Website of Erica Bick and Alexander Kale
We want your experience celebrating with us to be as seamless and enjoyable as possible! Below are answers to some common questions we’ve received about the big day—from attire to logistics and everything in between. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out to the bride or groom —we’re happy to help!
Question

What is the dress code your wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is formal and dressy. Floor-length or long formal dresses, elegant jumpsuits, dress shirts with jackets, and suits are all perfect choices. The celebration takes place in December in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where our moody, gothic-Christmas palette—deep reds, black, gold, and dark green—will set the tone. Guests are welcome to embrace these rich, romantic colors if they’d like, but it’s completely optional. Above all, wear something you feel confident and comfortable celebrating in all night.

Question

Are plus-ones and children allowed?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate and intentional, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on each invitation. Our wedding will be an adults-only evening, and we truly appreciate your understanding. Your presence means so much to us, and we can’t wait to celebrate together.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be offering a wide assortment of unlimited wine, beer, cider, and seltzer throughout the evening—plenty of options for everyone to enjoy. For guests who prefer cocktails or spirits, the bar will also have an extensive liquor selection available for purchase by cash or credit. We hope this mix gives everyone something they’ll love as we celebrate together!

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Guest arrival begins at 4:30 PM, and the ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 PM. We kindly encourage everyone to arrive a bit early to allow time to find street parking and make the short walk to the venue.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so our photographer can capture the moment without distractions. Once the ceremony concludes, you’re absolutely welcome to take all the photos you’d like throughout the celebration!

Question

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! We’d love for you to share your favorite moments from the day. If you post, please use our wedding hashtag #ChristmaswiththeKales so we can easily enjoy your photos too!
