Wedding Party

Rebecca Martinez

Maid of Honor

Rebecca and I are just 13 months apart, which means we’ve had the joy (and chaos) of living very closely yet very differently all at once. We’ve shared homes, countless laughs, and more than a few sisterly spats—but the best part is that no matter how much we annoy each other, we’re usually back to laughing within minutes. As much as we argue or get annoyed with each other, we always show up in the most significant ways—whether it’s moving, tackling something complicated, or just being there without question. With us, it’s never if we’ll show up, it’s what time, what do you need, and let’s get this done. We’re not really sappy people, but I think that’s what sisterhood is all about—knowing you always have someone to lean on, to help out, or to check in when it matters most. She’s shown up for me in ways I could never truly thank her enough for, especially during my postpartum days with both kids when she stepped in as my rock. Through the years, we’ve fought together, supported each other, and celebrated life’s big and small moments side by side. I couldn’t imagine this next chapter without her, and I’m beyond grateful she’ll be right there with me—even if we drive each other a little crazy along the way!

Damian Garcia

Best Man

Damian isn’t just my best man — he’s my brother. My one and only. We’ve known each other our whole lives (literally), and over the years we've built more memories than I can count — from hanging out with friends, working side by side, to all the family functions where we were either causing trouble or cleaning up after it. Like all brothers, we’ve had our fair share of fights and arguments — some dumb, some real, and most of them forgotten by the next day. But no matter what, Damian’s always been someone. when I needed a laugh, backup, or just someone to show up There’s no one else I’d rather have standing next to me on one of the biggest days of my life. He’s been through it all with me — the highs, the lows, and everything in between. I’m proud to call him my brother, and even prouder to have him as my best man.

Jasmine Cain

Bridesmaid

Jasmine has been one of my closest friends since elementary school—we basically grew up together. She was even with me the very first time I met Devan at a fast-food place, sitting a couple tables away with our girlfriends, watching it all unfold. From there, Jasmine has been part of so many chapters of my life: from riding four-wheelers in the mountains behind her house on long summer days, to making plenty of trouble in our early 20s, to being there when life and family things got a little hectic. Whether it was reorganizing a closet, helping me clean out my car, chasing after kids, or just enjoying each other’s company, Jasmine has always been the kind of friend who shows up. Some of my favorite memories with her are the simple ones—like working out together and then immediately undoing it all at Chili’s with a chocolate molten. The picture I chose for Jasmine is one from our high school days—you can probably tell by the phone style—but I love it because it shows just how far back we go and what cute girls we were. We’ve shared so many “eras” of life: from little kids to teenagers, funny girls in our 20s, to now both of us with our own kids and families. Life gets busy, but I’ve always known Jasmine would be there when I needed her, and that no matter how much time passes, we can always pick right back up where we left off.

Matthew Espinoza

Groomsman

Matt and I go way back — over ten years of friendship, and somehow it still feels like we just picked up where we left off every time we hang out. We've made more memories than I could possibly list here — and honestly, most of them are better told over a drink with a lot of laughter. Through every stage of life, Matt’s been there. Whether things were great or completely upside down, he’s the kind of friend who shows up without being asked. Loyal, real, and always down for whatever — that’s just who he is. I was honored to stand by his side on his wedding day, and it means just as much to me to have him standing by mine. He’s not just a groomsman — he’s family.

Ariana Perea

Bridesmaid

I met Ariana back in college (I was still a teenager at the time), and honestly—my first impression was that she was mean. We ended up working together in a tiny little office at a silly job, and before long we went from awkward coworkers to inseparable friends. We spent all our time together, in and out of work, and I quickly found myself making every excuse to be around her and her family (and Isidro’s too). Over the years, Ariana and I have shared so many different eras of life—from being the funny girls in our early 20s to stepping into motherhood at almost the exact same time (our kids are only a couple of months apart). Her family and Devan’s family have also become close, and now our lives are beautifully intertwined. Summers camping, family vacations, or just the everyday chaos—we’ve truly become one big, funky bunch. The picture I chose for Ariana is one of my favorites. It comes from a fishing trip a few years ago, when we met at the dollar store to grab supplies. We got out of our trucks and realized we were wearing the exact same outfit—shirt, pants, and shoes—without planning it at all. The memories I’ve created with Ariana are ones I’ll hold onto forever. She’s been there for me in the big moments and the hard ones—whether I needed someone to laugh with, vent to (about the same thing for the hundredth time), or pick me up when I was down. Having her by my side, and now watching our kids grow up as friends, is something I’ll always cherish.

Isidro Sena

Groomsman

I met Isidro through Erica’s friend Ariana, and from the jump, it felt like we’d known each other for years. We instantly clicked over shared hobbies, interests, and the kind of random conversations that somehow turn into full-blown debates about gear, food, or who’s the better shot. One memory that definitely stands out: a hunting trip where we unexpectedly came across a bear. I won’t say who ran first (or faster), but let’s just say we both made it out with a great story — and maybe a little more respect for wildlife. Since then, Isidro’s become more than just a friend — he’s a solid, dependable guy who’s always down for a good time, a laugh, or a trip into the woods (bear or no bear). I’m glad to have him standing with me on this day.

Heaven Vallo

Bridesmaid

I met Heaven back in middle school, and we clicked instantly. We’ve always just been a couple of silly gooses, and even though life has kept us from spending as much time together as I would’ve liked, every time we catch up it feels like no time has passed at all. When we first met, we used to joke that I was the boy version of her and she was the girly version of me—and honestly, that still holds true. We’re so similar in so many ways, yet totally different at the same time. What I love most is that with Heaven, there’s always a space of non-judgment and total understanding. She’s never judged me, only accepted me, and has always been there when I needed her. Now we both have two beautiful kids and busy lives, but I know I can call her in the middle of the week just to vent, share exciting news, or laugh about the chaos of life—and I always feel better after talking to her. It’s amazing to see the women we’ve grown into, and I’m so grateful to have a friend like Heaven, who is always there, always fun, and always someone I can count on.

Jude Naranjo

Groomsman

I first met Jude thanks to my sister-in-law Rebecca, who brought him over for a BBQ to introduce him to the family. From that day on, it was clear we’d get along — especially after a few adventures together. One trip that stands out is when a friend of mine got stuck in some mud, and Jude and I couldn’t help but laugh at the whole situation while trying to figure out how to get him out. That moment, among others, showed me we share a similar sense of humor and love for good times. We also bonded over our shared interest in Spanish music, which always guarantees a good playlist when we’re hanging out. Jude’s been a solid friend and a great addition to the crew, and I’m proud to have him as a groomsman.

Miranda Velarde

Bridesmaid

Miranda, Miranda, Miranda. We’ve literally been best friends since the very first day of kindergarten. I don’t remember who went up to whom, but one of us said, “My grandma told me I need to make friends… will you be my friend?” Next thing you know, we were on the seesaw and I thought she’d broken my foot (she didn’t, but it felt like it!). And just like that, here we are—20-something years later—still best friends. We’ve been through it all: the awkward phases of elementary and middle school, high school, early adulthood, and even the years when she joined the military and moved away. Distance didn’t stop us—endless FaceTime calls and long chats kept us close, and we even managed to play card games “together” with her states away. Devan and I would set up her deck in the camper and she’d call out which cards to play from California—somehow it actually worked. Her family was like my family growing up—summers meant crashing down her dad’s stairwell or swimming in the ditches—and now, even with busy lives and our own families, we still find ways to stay connected. Whether it’s our silly group chats, daily check-ins, or making time for special moments, Miranda always shows up. She’s been honest, steady, and there for me through so many highs and lows.

Anthony Sargent

Groomsman

I met Anthony about six years ago, we started working together, and it didn’t take long to realize we were going to be great friends. If there’s a joke to be made even at the most inappropriate moment. Anthony will be the first to make it. He’s got that rare mix of sarcasm, quick wit, and total shamelessness that keeps everyone laughing. Beyond the jokes, though, Anthony’s been a solid friend. He’s the one who somehow convinced Erica and me to get an XBOX “just to try it,” and now we’re both in way too deep. Anthony has been there for me countless times, and definitely someone I can call to if I need something or I need help. I’m honored to have him standing beside me just hoping he doesn’t roast me too hard in his speech.
