Wedding Party

Anna Ray

Maid of Honor

Erica and I met October 29, 1998. I don’t remember it, but hopefully she does. Growing up with Erica there was a lot of fighting because we were sisters of course, but we also had a lot of fun. I followed her around and copied what she did, or I would sneak over to the neighbors house and beg her to let me stay and hangout. I always wanted to hangout with the “older girls,” and be just like them because I looked up to her. Sometimes she would let me stay and I was happy even if it was only for a minute. I still bug her today like I did when we were younger. I go to her first for everything because she is always there for me, and my best friend in the whole wide world (like we used to say). She is MORE than what I could ask for in a sister, and I love her very much.

Wil Keener

Best Man

Caleb and I first met in the 90’s. It really was a simpler time.. The original Lion King had just been released breaking box office records, the FIFA World Cup was hosted by the United States, and Ric Flair was the current World Heavyweight Champion. Caleb and I met on June 21, 1994. It was a special day. Scientists have actually declared it the longest and possibly most exciting day of the year. Caleb and I have shared so many things together throughout our lives including great memories, his ID, a Nintendo 64, but most importantly, our parents. Caleb is my big brother, and I love him dearly.

Jennifer Minor

Bridesmaid

Erica and I met Freshmen year at CN. Despite the advice from our coach that it wasn’t a good idea to live with a teammate, we decided...what does she know? Four years of being teammates, roommates and best friends is one of the best parts of my college experience. Arriving at CN I didn’t know what to expect and I remember Erica wanting to go to a golf party. I said I wasn’t feeling good and Erica without missing a beat said, “you’re full of it - we’re going!” If it wasn’t for Erica I wouldn’t have learned to cuss, have crazy surprise pictures/videos on my laptop, had my “caf” buddy, met my husband or have the most fun in my life with my best friend. We have a friendship that no matter how long it’s been, it feels like no time has passed. Erica and Caleb, I wish you both the best!

Dustyn Ivey

Groomsman

I first met Caleb at Carson-Newman. I had just moved into my dorm and didn’t know anyone at the school. Caleb was living in the room across the hall; I walked right into his room, sat down, and we started talking about sports. Caleb introduced me to more people than I can count and has been the fulcrum of some of my closest friendships. Over the ensuing eleven years he’s become a brother to me and his whole family has taken me in and made me one of their own. Despite the fact that we’ve lived in different states for the last two-and-a-half years, our friendship still remains very strong and that is due in large part to the effort put forth by Caleb to make sure we never lose touch for too long, which I’ve always appreciated.

Ashley Childress

Bridesmaid

Erica and I first met in Mrs. Mertz’s class, 4th grade at Sam Houston Elementary. I just moved to Maryville and this would be the first chance for me to make friends in a new town. We had no plans of being best friends at this point (it took at least 6 more years). Little did I know the girl that embarrassingly told the whole class I had a tick on my ear, was also the girl to comfort me in the closet with my gasping cries because I didn't have my permission slip signed. We have done so much life together - laughed a lot and cried a lot. I sometimes joke that Erica is marrying the boy version of me in that Caleb and I both love to rap, be surrounded by our friends, and both have Jeeps. It’s the real deal and I’m so excited to be apart of all that is to come. “here till the end” HM.

Blake Maples

Groomsman

Caleb and I first met when we were younger. Back when we used to watch Nat Geo Wild and Ninja Turtles, swim in the deep end at the Sleep Inn and ate hotdogs for breakfast at Frank’s. I also bet he’ll never forget the “Big Hill.” Growing up with Caleb wasn’t easy, but I somehow survived. He once hit me over the head with a hammer while we were digging for dinosaur bones in my backyard. It’s a small miracle I’m here today. With that said, I’m glad I got to grow up with Caleb attending high school, College at Carson-Newman and spending time together still today. I look forward to what's to come.

Kimberly Ensor

Bridesmaid

Erica and I met in middle school, but weren’t really close until high school. We both went to Maryville High School and Carson Newman. She played golf and I played softball. After we both graduated, we moved back to Maryville, and then worked together at Clayton. We then lived in the same apartment complex for 2 years where oh so many nights were memorable (we were both single).. Luckily, Erica remained close with her college roommate, Jennifer Minor, who is also a bridesmaid. Jennifer’s husband John happened to be and still is very close with my now husband, TJ. I probably wouldn’t have met him if it weren’t for Erica. So Erica, I am forever grateful for our friendship, but also thankful that you essentially led me to my husband!

Jordan Whaley

Groomsman

I honestly can't tell you where I first met Caleb, but we were basically forced to hangout as kids because our parents are best friends. It’s hard for Caleb and I to go long without reaching out and I always look forward to when Erica goes out of town and I head to Caleb’s house to watch Tennessee Football highlight videos and/or “I go back.” A majority of Caleb’s friends would agree that he is the common denominator for us even knowing each other. With the recent passing of Kobe Bryant, it makes you appreciate the friends around you, especially those that have been there since day one. With that being said, ways I would describe Caleb would be that he is a great friend, State Champion, sneaky athletic and underrated rapper. I look forward to standing next to you on May 30th.

Jocelyn Clutter

Bridesmaid

Erica was my supervisor at my first job after moving to TN five years ago. It was bittersweet when she got promoted because I loved working for and learning from her, but her promotion meant we would be “allowed” to be friends. I think we went for drinks that very same night. I had no idea how close we would end up being and I’m so happy and proud to call her one of my best friends

Trevor Smith

Groomsman

Caleb and I met Fall 2009 when I was a Sr. in high school while I was visiting Carson-Newman and my two friends from high school who just started school there. Two short years later, Caleb and I lived together and continued to do so for the next three years. What ensued were countless midnight trips to McDonalds together, being the best intramural soccer duo, and many wasted tuition dollars skipping class to play golf at the Augusta National of Tennessee (Lost Creek). I consider Caleb a brother, and his family is like second family to me. I wouldn’t trade our friendship for the world, and I can’t wait to continue to grow it in the future. I’d still pick him last in pick-up basketball, though.

Whitney Hicks

Bridesmaid

I have known Caleb practically our entire lives. From swinging on the tire swing as little tots to graduating high school together and beyond. Caleb has been like a brother to me. So, my excitement that he met someone as great as Erica is no surprise. I met Erica through Caleb and she has become a dear friend to me. I feel like I have known her my whole life. She understands my “humor” and laughs at me when no one else thinks I’m funny. I’m so excited to be a part of their special day and can’t wait to crash their Saturday morning breakfast for the rest of our lives (I’ll even provide the mimosas).

Jeremy Hogan

Groomsman

Keener and I first met when him and I played AYSO soccer together at the age of 6. We were coached by none other than Joe Keener. We quickly became the focal points of the team due to my extraordinary skill and Keener due to his relationship to the coach. There are so many memories I will never forget like Halo system link at Toby’s, trips to Long John Silver’s, typewriters, and our fierce fantasy football rivalry. Most importantly I can’t wait to see Keener do his “eyebrow thing” one last time as a single man.
