Midtown Farmers Market
Outdoor Saturday marketplace providing locally grown fruits & veggies, prepared foods & baked goods. Every Saturday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Check out one of the many food trucks that Eric enjoys indulging in on or a yummy baked good from Faria Bakery that Sydnee loves!
Fab Forties Christmas Lights
The East Sacramento event has been going strong since the 80s. The Sacramento Fab 40s Christmas lights display is an annual tradition where residents in the East Sacramento neighborhood elaborately decorate their homes for the holiday season. The event is a free, self-guided experience, though visitors should be prepared for heavy traffic, especially on weekends and Christmas Day, so walking is often recommended. The neighborhood is generally located on streets numbered in the 40s (e.g., 40th to 49th streets) between J Street and Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento. Grab one of Eric and Sydnee's favorite beverages, Mexican hot chocolate from Temple Coffee at 4201 H St, Sacramento, CA 95819 before walking the lit streets of the Fab Forties.
Cooper Vineyards
For those of you who are wine lovers, enjoy 90 acres of carefully tended rolling vineyards, producing estate-bottled single varietal wine. Open for tasting room and patio wine tasting for groups of 6 or less. No appointment necessary. Last tasting begins at 4:00pm.
Tipsy Putt
Beer & mini golf anyone (don't worry they have cocktails and wine too)? Enjoy a game of mini golf and an adult beverage at one of Eric and Sydnee's favorite date night spots, Tipsy Putt. Upon entering the establishment ask the doorman about the Speakeasy to enjoy a yummy crafted cocktail and swanky decor hidden behind a bookshelf. If you're feeling hungry, we recommend the mini quesabirria tacos or the pub nachos.
