Drink lots of water! Dehydration happens faster at altitude. Alcohol hits harder at elevation so go easy on the drinking. Wear sunscreen - between the Colorado sun, dry climate and thinner air, make sure you have a good chapstick with SPF, sunscreen and hydrating lotion. Oxygen cannisters are helpful for catching your breath. You can purchase them pretty much everywhere. Eat carbs and don't skip meals. Your body needs more at altitude and carbs help our bodies absorb oxygen better. If your schedule permits, give yourself an extra day to let your body get acclimated!

5:30pm sharp! If you are not taking the shuttle leaving from the Holiday Inn, please get to the gondola by 5:00pm, and take into account the walk from the street to the gondola. It is imperative to be on time due to gondola operations.
The ceremony is located on the patio of Thunderhead Lodge/Champagne Powder Room. You must take the Steamboat Gondola to the top and the exit will bring you directly to Thunderhead Lodge. The address for the Steamboat Gondola is 2305 Mount Werner Circle. It is located at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort, in the heart of Gondola Square.
We are providing transportation from the Holiday Inn to the entrance of gondola square. The shuttle will be leaving at 4:30pm. If you are staying in a rental, you can meet at the Holiday Inn at 4:30pm or take your own transportation to the entrance of gondola square. Please note that some rental operators provide a free shuttle service.
The gondola will be operating from 5:00pm through the end of the reception. You may use the gondola, leave and return, at any time throughout the reception.
If you'd like to drive yourself, there is free parking in the parking garage connected to gondola, next to Sheraton hotel. On the day of the wedding, we will receive a code and further instructions to provide. Please contact Kourtney at 720-825-4025 to receive the information.
The reception ends at 11pm. Check back in for more information!
Please join us for an after party at our house immediately after the reception concludes. The shuttle will take guests from gondola square to the Holiday Inn and then to our house.
Black tie optional. Tuxedos aren't necessary but long dresses encouraged. In addition, we recommend bringing a warm jacket as the ceremony is outdoors. While we cannot have heaters, we have hand warmers and blankets. Feel free to wear alternative closed toe shoes and bring a separate pair for the reception to change into if you need that extra warmth, plus there will be 5-10 minutes of walking to get to the gondola/venue.
