Soooo… where to begin. I met Eri in the gym, sat and talked to her for several minutes, was struck by her beauty but thought nothing of it. I was friends with her ex., so I said hello. I had owned a bar in Sarasota, and knew a lot of people in the city. About a year later I completely left Sarasota and the bar world to follow my dreams of helping others in healthcare. A couple of years passed and I saw that she was single. I said nothing because I thought that lacked tact. I waited 3 years (which was 6 years since I had left) and reached out to her. I wanted to seem sincere, so I asked her to visit Washington DC, and see a concert with me. She happily agreed and I bought the airline ticket and the tickets to the concert. She got busy with work and unfortunately cancelled. Life happens as life does, so we lost the connection…….. (Sponge bob voice, 6 years later……) I reached out AGAIN (all caps) and laughed with her over a online meme. We got caught up quickly, and I noticed that the connection was there, the kindness was there, and most importantly the laughter was still there so…… Again I asked her to visit Washington DC. I was selling my home, asked her to come see it before it was gone, ao I wanted to show her the life I had built. I was moving to San Diego for the summer and had no idea what was about to come. She flew in to Washington DC, and I picked her up and the airport and have never let her go since. She is the most beautiful woman to me, and I understand waiting until it was right. I have no idea what is to come next, but I thank God everyday to do it with her. ***Jeff
