Lost Province Brewing Co.
We went here when touring our venue and absolutely LOVED the food, beer, atmosphere and GIANT DESSERT. Haley might have ordered the brownie sundae without realizing it serves 2-4 people but we thoroughly enjoyed it all the same. A pizza and salad are great to share between two people here. Make sure to get there early as it does tend to fill up quickly!
Linn Cove Viaduct
Want more mountain views? The Linn Cove Viaduct is a great way to get stunning mountain scenery while enjoying the AC of your car or if you are like Matt and Haley...enjoy the mountain air with your windows rolled down. Cell service is a little spotty at times but if you have directions pre-put in to google maps you should be fine. There's also a nice visiting center complete with bathrooms and pokestops for our Pokemon go family.
Blue Deer on King
If you love ice cream sandwiches as much as Haley then you will want to check out Blue Deer. You can choose between different ice cream AND cookie flavors to create the ultimate ice cream cookie sandwich here! If you are more like Matt and enjoy a good latte then you are in luck because they also serve coffee.
Boone
Boone is such a fun place to walk around downtown, hike, fish, shop and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery!
Melanie's
Can't decide if you want breakfast or lunch? Melanie's has an amazing brunch menu! Make sure to get your name on the wait list early if possible, this place is pretty popular!
Booneshine Brewing Company
We went here for a drink and appetizer when touring venues. Definitely recommend the soft pretzel!
Blowing Rock
Blowing Rock is both a town off the Blue Ridge Parkway and a rock formation (for which the town is named after). There are plenty of things to do here whether you want to stroll around,shop, hike or fish.
Tweetsie Railroad
We have heard from many people that the Tweetsie railroad is a great place for family fun!
