This is going to be epic.

It started with the Deppes. Brielle is always saying she loves Fiddler on the Roof, and perhaps that's infused some "Matchmaker" flair into our lives. 6-20-15 The Deppes had a moving party and Kyle built a fire pit and recited spoken word. He geeked out about the wine Lara brought, and Lara was a little intimidated. 6-25-15 We were both at the McMinnville Farmers Market. Kyle was selling Remy Wines. Lara was selling Blue Raeven pies and sold out. Lara sampled the wine and bragged about hiking injuries. Kyle was impressed. 7-4-15 Adam Gray hosted a 4th of July party at the house Lara used to live in on 2nd Street. A tipsy Lara flirted with Kyle by asking him repeatedly what he liked to read. 7-5-15 Friends gathered at The Bitter Monk to watch the Womens' World Cup. Kyle's interest was piqued by Lara's Shopska Salata. A couple nights later, the Deppes hosted friends at the Davis Street house. Fortified by wine, Kyle invited Lara to hike the next day. She turned him down with a conflict. He asked about the following Wednesday and she had another conflict. He assumed she wasn't interested. Two weeks later she asked him if he still wanted to hike and he did! They met for sushi to plan the trip and got lost going to Shellburg Falls for a day of hiking. The rest is history....
