It all started in Mrs. Bowker’s history class during their senior year at Downingtown West High School. Kayla and Nick became friends fast (okay… Kayla may have just needed someone to copy homework from), and it didn’t take long before they were going to Friday night football games and spending time with the same friend group. One day, Kayla invited Nick to a Millersville football game — and by the end of the day, he had met her whole family. That night, they stayed in with pizza and movies, and Nick asked Kayla to be his girlfriend. He knew that being with Kayla also meant becoming part of her daughter, Ava Grace’s life — something he embraced wholeheartedly. That was the first “yes.” They went on to date for four years — four years of love, laughter, challenges, and growth. Eventually, they planned a trip to New York City to visit Kayla’s grandmother, who was sick at the time. Her mom and aunt were already there, and Kayla had no idea what else was in store. On their first night there, Nick suggested a walk in Central Park. When they reached Bow Bridge, Nick got down on one knee and proposed. That was the second best “yes” Kayla ever gave him. Four more years passed — filled with even more love, growth, memories, and blessings. One of the greatest blessings of all came with the arrival of their second daughter, Hazel Marie — a beautiful addition to their growing family. Now, Kayla and Nick are preparing for one of the biggest days of their lives — their wedding day. It will mark the next "yes" in their journey together. A yes to forever, to continuing to choose each other through every season of life. Their love has only grown stronger with time, and they know it will keep deepening in the days, months, and years ahead. They can't wait to say "I do" surrounded by all the people who have been a part of their story so far.
