When Enrique and Erica met as teenagers. They had met on a soccer field the summer after freshman year of high school. Through their love of soccer they remained friends for three years in which a beautiful friendship ensued, one filled with laughs, comfort through hard times, and good company. There was always a small spark between them but it was never explored until one night during a storm. From that storm, came a spark of love and hope of something magical just waiting to be unlocked. During that storm they stopped at a gas station where they somehow talked for hours; "It was in that moment when I looked over at him, my feet on the dash of his pathfinder, that I knew this was where I was supposed to be. I didn't know where it would lead but I had to try for him. I saw something in him that night that gave me hope I could be loved forever by someone so special. It was in that moment that I knew it was always him, it was the person I had prayed for." Over 6 years later, with their two dogs, they have found a home in each other, knowing as best friends and partners they can overcome this next chapter as husband and wife in stride.
