Our Love Story — Written by God

Aleana & Enrique’s Testimony

We first crossed paths in September of 2022, and even then — before we had any idea what God was doing — He was already writing a story far greater than our own. We like to think of it as the “invisible string theory,” except ours was divinely woven. The Lord knew we were meant for one another, and even when we didn’t see it, He was gently aligning our paths to meet in His perfect timing. Our first interaction was simple: Aleana was supposed to buy a car from Enrique — but that didn’t quite go as planned (she ended up ghosting him, and we still laugh about it today). Just two weeks later, God crossed our paths again, this time at a club. Not the place you’d expect two people to meet and later share a testimony of God’s faithfulness, but it’s ours, and we thank Him for it. That night, Aleana walked right up to Enrique, introduced herself, and the rest is history. It was surprising, unplanned, and became the first thread in the story God was already weaving The years that followed weren’t always easy. We lived for the world for a long time — trying to find peace, fulfillment, and direction on our own. We loved each other deeply and shared many joyful moments, but our relationship was far from perfect, and so were we. There were seasons that tested us, moments that broke us, and times when we tried to hold everything together by our own strength. Yet through it all, God never let go. At the beginning of 2025, something shifted in our hearts. We realized that the foundation we were missing was Christ Himself. When we finally surrendered our relationship — and our lives — to Him, everything began to change. God softened our hearts, restored our peace, and taught us how to love in a way that reflects His grace, not our own strength. On June 1, 2025, we were baptized together — a day that marked the start of a new chapter, not just as a couple, but as two children of God choosing to walk in obedience. From that moment, we’ve witnessed His hand over every part of our journey. Our story is a testimony that God can redeem any beginning, restore what’s been broken, and use even the hardest seasons for His glory. We are two imperfect people who serve a perfect God — and every bit of love, joy, and peace we have now is because of Him. As we step into marriage, our prayer is that our love will reflect the glory of God and the goodness of His heart. We want our relationship to point not to our own strength, but to the One who has carried, shaped, and redeemed us. It is by His love and grace alone that we stand here preparing for marriage. We hope our union reflects not who we are on our own, but who He is — a faithful God whose love bears, believes, hopes, and endures. Every joy, every challenge, and every moment of growth reminds us that this story has always belonged to Him, and we are simply walking the path He has beautifully prepared. “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” — 1 Corinthians 13:7
