Chris and Eni met in September 2021 at a friend’s birthday party in Michigan. Eni made the first move, intrigued by his animated personality and engaging conversation. As fate would have it, Eni was already planning a trip to Houston, Texas—Chris’s hometown—with her friends. After their initial meeting, they kept in touch over the phone and hung out briefly during her visit. However, their connection wasn’t as consistent as Eni had hoped, and they eventually fell out of touch. Later, Eni’s friends, knowing how much she liked him, surprised her by inviting Chris to join them for her birthday celebration in Houston. At her birthday dinner, she noticed him but kept her distance—until his charm gradually won her over by the end of the night. From then on, they maintained consistent communication, bridging the distance between Michigan and Texas. In December, Eni accepted a travel nursing assignment in Houston, hoping to explore her career and the budding connection with Chris. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, they spent nearly every day together, and by February, their friendship blossomed into a relationship. What began as a three-month assignment turned into nine, and Eni eventually completed her studies and moved to Houston in late 2022. Fast forward to September 2023: Chris invited Eni’s sisters and friends to Houston, where he proposed—and without hesitation, she said yes!
