Just two kids with a knack for enjoying the stage, we both tried out for the elementary cast of West Side Story for our combined high school's annual musical. In a tale as old as time, Gabrielle (casted with the Jets) and Noah (the Sharks) found friendship through musical theater, continuing to act in several more plays together throughout middle school. We continued to involve ourselves with the arts and grow close as friends, having similar interests and studies. We would frequently pair up for projects when possible because we enjoyed working together, even back then.
After we both graduated high school, Noah moved back to the Cranberry Twp area and Gabrielle was attending school in Pittsburgh. Gabrielle reached out to Noah to catch up. After a few casual chats, Noah asked Gabrielle out to dinner, but Gabrielle was hesitant - not wanting to start a relationship in school. Noah insisted a few more times, insinuating that he wanted to share a new food experience with Gabrielle, not make it a stressful date. Gabrielle was nervous but he made her laugh the whole time, ordered things she would have never tried, and made the best company. Their second date was all-you-can-eat wings but by then, Gabrielle knew she had found a person she could be completely comfortable around.
Almost a year later, as poor college students, they decided to move in together with roommates and continue their lives together. They got our baby girl Iris that year, and she is still their princess, along with her cat sister, Aspen. Noah and Gabrielle started to travel together, visiting over ten states and passing through many more, as well as several countries in Europe. They both love seeking out the best food and the best arts wherever they are. They bought the Graham family farmhouse to renovate and keep in the family and have been spending their free time working on the home to make it beautiful again!
After seven years together, four apartments, two pets, and continued educational pursuits, Noah made it official and asked Gabrielle to marry him. He asked in his art studio space that they had spent the previous year renovating and starting Noah's brick-and-mortar business. Though this is something Gabrielle had known she wanted, the ring came as a surprise, and she was thrilled to say "YES!"
