Dom and I have been together since 2014. Dom was in 9th grade and I was in 10th grade. We had known of each other because Dave and Dom played sports together but really had never talked until the year Dave played JV sports with Dom. My mom will tell you it started during JV basketball. She claims it happened at a sleepover where Dom looked out of a sleeping bag and saw me but we seem to have different stories. The first time Dom came over to our house it was during JV football season. Dom had come over to do a Spanish project with Dave. Dom still says he can remember exactly what I was wearing the first time he really saw me; a Duke Blue Devils's t-shirt. He asked me if I liked Duke and I said "yes, they are my favorite basketball team." He said from that day he had a crush on me. Dom and Dave started to become really good friends that year which meant he was coming over to our house more. I started to see Dom more which meant we started talking more. We eventually exchanged Snapchat information which lead to phone numbers. During baseball season, I stayed after to talk to Dom and hangout with some of the baseball players before practice one day. I can still remember the first time I saw Dom really laugh and how big he smiled. I knew that day I wanted to be his girlfriend. One thing lead to another and I told Dom I liked him. Now here we are, getting married almost 10 years later. We have grown together and learned so much along the way. Each day our love grows and we are beyond exited to get married!
