Cliff Walk
Newport's enchanting 3.5-mile Cliff Walk is the perfect place for your moment of peace. Panoramic ocean views, crashing waves and the perfect amount of sea breeze on one side and stunning, century-old, Gilded Age mansions on the other. This walk is free to the public, and tours of some houses are offered at an additional fee! There are several entrances to make this as long/short as you'd like.
The Breakers
The Breakers Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island, is a Gilded Age estate by the Vanderbilt family in the late 1800s. Designed by architect Richard Morris Hunt, the property has 70 total rooms and is a prime example of Beaux-Arts architecture, with lavish interiors and stunning oceanfront views. Today, it operates as a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the extravagant lifestyle of America's wealthiest families during the late 19th century.
Newport Car Museum
Newport Car Museum is a modern design experience, with 95+ cars on permanent display in seven galleries: Corvettes, Ford/Shelby, World Cars, Porsches, Fin Cars, Mopars and American Muscle. Enjoy as well a collection of Mid-Century Modern furniture on display throughout the Museum, a giant gift shop and free parking! Tickets online or at the door. No rsvps needed. Open daily 10:00am - 5:00pm.
