Although Morgan and Christian grew up in the same small mountain town, attended rival high schools, and had some significant mutual friends, they didn't actually cross paths until they were in their 20s. Their stores finally collided around (you guessed it) a campfire and bottle of whiskey. It would be a few more years of campfires before they got proper about it :)

Long story short, Christian lured Morgan on a gorgeous hike under the pretense it would be a branding photoshoot for his coaching business. He suggested she wear something cute in case there was time for her to step into the frame. They met their amazing friend and photographer, Sunnie, at the bottom of Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a good 2 mile hike up to a secluded lake, seemingly "looking for a good spot." Sunnie and Christian were on edge, and Morgan was oblivious and just happy to be there. Once they found the right spot, Sunnie wanted to grab a quick shot of both of them, and had Morgan and Christian stand back to back. After taking a few pictures, she casually told Morgan to turn around. When she did, she found Christian smiling ear to ear, on one knee.
