In 2023 I began my first teaching job in NYC (thank you Juana). On my first day I remember Vic eating lunch with myself and some of the girls. To me, at the time I knew him as the "quiet boy who worked next door". We never spoke much but for a few words through passing in the hallways. Nearly close to the end the school year me and Victor had developed a friendship that consist of bullying one another (my love language). He later moved to Yonkers where I was living and I found a reason to car pool with a friend rather than taking the train. What started as just a car pool eventually turned into intimate conversations and a karaoke car ride from rap songs to 90's girly pop songs. To my surprise he was no longer the "quiet boy who worked next door" but became the reason I enjoyed going to work. Later that year we went on our first date and now we look forward to our forever together and with our favorite girl Zoey.
