We started messaging each other through social media platforms and met in St. Cloud, late August. We eventually exchanged numbers and texted every day. Our first date was the MN State Fair where we spent the whole day together doing a lot of walking, talking, eating and drinking. On our second date, we explored uptown and ate at Amazing Thailand. Our third date was a special one as Dmitriy took me out for my birthday and we both decided this could be something wonderful...now here we are :)

We were on the Phi Phi Island Day tour during our second to last day in Thailand. After arriving at Bamboo Island, the plan was to have a “couples photo shoot” after lunch. We eventually found a secluded spot and Dmitriy was adamant that we take pictures together (this should’ve been a dead giveaway since he doesn’t ever care for pictures). When it was our turn, Dmitriy yelled out the keyword “Kirk Cousins” & everyone got ready, but I was too tired to notice anything. I walked over to where Dmitriy was standing on the beach & Dmitriy got down on one knee & the first thing that came to my mind was, “does he want me to sit on him?” (I ALMOST went to sit on his lap). I saw him reach for his pocket & pulled out a little box; Dmitriy proposed & I said YES to forever!
