The Story of Us

Our Fairytale…

Once upon a time, in a village called Wilkesboro, there lived a fair maiden named Annie. Annie worked hard all day while she dreamt of the day that she would meet her true prince charming. In a village, not too far away, called Winston Salem, lived a prince named Emory. Emory too spent his days working hard and traveling, searching widely for his one true love. As the years passed, Annie and Emory grew tired and weary, believing that their chance of love and happiness had passed. They both had been through treacherous paths throughout their years but they never gave up hope that their day would come. One fine day, Annie stumbled upon a magical wizard. The wizard looked at poor Annie and knew of the struggles in life that she had surpassed. He took Annie's hand and made a promise. "Fair Annie, your life has been filled with heartache and sadness.....after this moment you will finally find what your heart most desires." He then placed a wand over her golden strands and then in a flash, he was gone. Prince Emory had grown tired of his travels and finally one day he decided to return to his kingdom in Winston Salem. He had fought many battles and he too had faced many hardships through his years. On his way to the kingdom, suddenly in his path there stood a wizard. This wizard seemed very wise and explained to prince Emory that he had one last mission to complete. He then again took out his wand and this time placed in on Emory's head. Soon, the king's messenger arrived at Annie's door and handed her an invitation to a dinner with the Prince. Annie couldn't believe her own eyes. Why had this prince from another land requested her company? Not knowing what to think or how to feel, Annie picked out her most beautiful outfit and instructed her carriage to take her to Winston Salem. When Annie arrived, Prince Emory couldn't take his eyes off her. He had never seen such a beautiful creature. He walked to her and introduced himself. Annie bowed down and greeted the Prince. As the night went on, Annie and Emory became more engrossed in each other's company. The Prince was smitten by her charm and beauty. Annie had never been happier. Time moved on and with each passing day, Annie and Emory became one. They built their own kingdom in a village called Yadkinville and finally one magical day......the prince asked her to be his bride. And as we all know......they lived happily ever after. THE TRUE MORAL OF THIS STORY IS THAT GOOD PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS REWARDED AT THE RIGHT TIME.
