Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Casual Attire: Sundresses, short-sleeved button downs, sandals, fresh kicks. This is a barn party! Summertime soirée! Come as you are. Footwear should be suitable for dancing and lawn games.

Question

Climate in Vermont

Answer

July is one of the most pleasant months in the state of Vermont. However, average temperatures can vary an incredible amount from day to day. Be equally prepared for hot sun or chilly clouds. For real. Check the forecast!

Question

How rural is rural?

Answer

Rural is why we love Vermont! However, please note that cellphone reception can be spotty in many areas, including around the venue and the lake. Please be sure to DOWNLOAD directions just in case your GPS cuts out. Additionally, you will always find foliage outside your door, but you may have to travel 15-25 minutes to find restaurants, grocery stores, and "city" life. :)

Question

What is a Creemee?

Answer

You say soft-serve, Vermonters say creemees. A creemee is soft-serve ice cream, yes, but it typically has a higher fat content than your run-of-the-mill soft-serve, making it creamier in texture and richer in flavor, hence the name creemee. Really, nothing says it’s summer in Vermont more than a Maple Creemee made with real maple syrup. Try it, you'll like it.

Question

What about the kiddos?

Answer

We love that some of you are extending our wedding into a vacation with your kids! While we welcome them to day-after-fun at the lake, unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for you parents!) we cannot accommodate them at the ceremony or reception.

For all the days along the way
