Holland and Emmy met during college through friends while having their weekly "BTS Nights". From their looks, to their hobbies, to their Chinese husbands, they've been mistaken for sisters ever since!
Nabaz Kareem

Ming met Nabaz while studying for their PhD's in applied linguistics at the University of Memphis. Nabaz has since become a friend of the family, helping Emmy's family at their wedding venue and always bringing back baklava from his trips since he knows it's their favorite. Nabaz has invited Ming to Kurdish holiday get-togethers and promised to teach him how to Kurdish dance one day.
Abby Disalvo

Emmy met Abby during 8th grade volleyball camp, the summer before starting a new school. While becoming Emmy's first friend at St. Francis, through volleyball, Shane Harper, and One Direction they quickly became life long friends.
Cameron Hidayat

Cameron and Ming met through mutual friends and immediately hit it off talking about the Tigers, Grizzlies, and Tiktok. Ming especially likes that he's always down to go to a last minute game and that Cam can always get him the hook up for the best Chinese food in Memphis.
Emily Thornton

Emily and Emmy happened to join the same rec softball league the summer of 2021 and immediately hit it off as the 2 people under 45 on the team. You can find Emily squared at a movie theatre *especially on half off Tuesdays*. Emily was also there for Emmy being trapped in Spain with COVID, therefore a friendship for life.
Brice Montgomery

Brice attended Ohio University for his Master's degree in the same class as Ming in 2020. During Covid, Ming and Brice became running buddies, running all the trails in rural Ohio. Sharing their mutual love of rotisserie chicken they've been able to keep in touch even after moving after college.
LJ Perry
Bridesmaid
LJ was an Alpha Gam in college with Emmy, meeting her freshman year. They immediately hit it off with their same sense of (weird) humor and have remained friends even since, even with living in different states the last 3 years. From Greta Van Fleet to BTS they're always down for a good boy band concert together! (Fun fact: Emmy gave LJ Covid during the Barcelona Covid fiasco of 2021, sorry)
Dennis Choi

Dennis also met Ming while studying for their Master's degrees at Ohio University. They were roommates during Covid, meaning lots of home cooked meals, especially their favorite- Chinese pork ribs! (and an occasional KFC bucket)
Kyndall Tiller

In 2018 Kyndall went on an EF group trip to the UK. Emmy and her both went as solo travelers, and became travel buddies while walking around Edinburgh They've gone on at least 1 trip together every year, even while never living in the same city. They've been to Nashville, Kentucky, West Virginia (when Emmy met Ming), Kansas City, NYC, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Portugal, and France together.
Peyton Burdick

Peyton is Emmy's little from Alpha Gam in college. So many people came up to them to say they would be a perfect big and little combo before they had even met each other. (Probably due to being crazy and loving art). Peyton was there for all of Emmy's crazy college stories and now here to go on plenty of double dates in both of their married eras.
