Travel Note
Mentone is the place where all your dreams will come true! As long as those dreams involve beautiful mountain scenery, not a lot of people, and a grabbing a Take 5 bar from the Mentone Market. It is about 2 hours from Atlanta and 1:45 from Birmingham, Alabama. If you are a guest who will be flying in, we recommend Atlanta, Chattanooga, or Birmingham airports. Pro-tip: If you're coming to Mentone from Atlanta, you will want to plan for a long stretch (1 hour) of mountain roads and poor cell service.
Hotel
Desoto State Park is our top recommendation. It has motel rooms, chalets and cabins (both rustic and a little more glamorous) available. While they do not offer group rates, they can easily put groups in rooms and cabins next to each other. Mention Corey-Bostick wedding and they can arrange guests accordingly. Desoto State Park beautiful and about a five minutes from the wedding location (Camp Desoto). BOOK QUICKLY! They have many openings right now. But since the Rhododendron Festival is only one week after our wedding, lodging may fill up soon. There is a 2 night minimum on all cabins and chalets.

Most of the Mentone Cabins are near Camp Desoto (but check it out on Google Maps to make sure before you book). When you are booking, use the discount code COREY for a 5% pre-tax discount. If you have questions about a particular location, email John Corey (jjcorey@yahoo.com) or Emmy (emmycorey@gmail.com).
House Or Rental
There are plenty of Airbnb’s in the area. We’ve made a list of the ones that are closest to the wedding venue. Anything outside of Mentone (Menlo, GA, Valley Head, Ft. Payne) are still close-ish. But will be about 15-30 minutes away.
Hotel
We have not blocked any rooms in Fort Payne. But you are more than welcome to stay there! The downside is that Fort Payne is about 25 minutes from Mentone. The upside is there are plenty of food options and the Alabama Fan Club (which may or may not be open). We recommend lodging in Mentone instead. But if you're looking for a regular ole hotel, there are quite a few in Fort Payne.

For those who are feeling outdoorsy, you can stay right at camp! You can sleep to the soothing sounds of crickets and bullfrogs. There are a few things to know: 1) You MUST bring your own linens/bedding (or you can ask for them. See #5). 2) Cabins are screened in. It can get a little chilly on the mountain in May! So pack warmly. 3) Some bathrooms are inside the cabins. Others are in neighboring buildings. All showers are in neighboring buildings. 4) Cost is $50 per person per night (and includes a light breakfast on Sunday morning). 5) If this interests you, contact Marsha Hurt (marsha.hurt@gmail.com) to arrange. She will need your name and number of people in your party. 5) If you need linens, let Marsha know when you book. She will have linens for you when you arrive. There is an additional $25 fee for dry cleaning.
