Flight

Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR)

We recommend flying into Puerto Vallarta International airport (PVR). You will need a passport to travel internationally. Don't forget to ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after your return travel date. It takes ~1 hour to go through immigration and customs. It takes an additional ~45 minutes to drive to Sayulita. To be conservative, you should plan on arriving in Sayulita ~2 hours after you land.

Travel Note

Getting to Sayulita

Sayulita is a ~45 minute drive from PVR. If you'd prefer, you can hire a round-trip car service (Sayulita Luxury Transportation is an option and linked below). Alternatively, you can take an Uber or taxi (Ubers are ~$25 USD one-way, taxis are more expensive), and you will still need to plan your return trip to PVR. We do not recommend renting a car - Sayulita is not a car-friendly town and you will struggle to drive and park in town. Once you're in Sayulita, you will not need a car. Sayulita is an extremely walkable town. For transportation, you can easily rent a golf cart for your time in Sayulita.
