Q&A

Question

Are children invited? Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the venues capacity, only children listed on the invitation are invited. If you receive a plus one, it will be listed on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding, and if you have any question, please reach out to Emmy or Danny.

Question

How do I get to the venue/hotel?

Answer

Once you get off the ferry on Madeline Island take a right. You will drive through town and eventually see The Inn on Madeline Island on your right where you will be able to check in. You can check in at the building to the left of The Pub Restaurant. Light Keepers Lodge is right on Lake Superior and to the right of The Pub Restaurant. If you are staying at the Bungalows or Fairfeild Suites you will have to drive to them after your check in.

Question

What is the menu?

Answer

The rehearsal dinner will be multiple different types of pizzas and there is a bar at The Pub. You can bring your own alcohol as well. The wedding will have grilled burgers, bratwurst, and chicken sandwiches with sides served. There will be a bar at the venue. PLEASE let us now if you have any dietary restriction!

Question

What to wear?

Question

Other activities on the island

Answer

There are many miles of different hiking/biking trails. You can rent bikes, mopeds, boats, paddle boards, and kayaks in town. There are 2 parks (Big Bay State Park and Big Bay Town Park). If you are driving you have to pay to get into Big Bay State Park, but if you are biking it is free. We recommended Big Bay Town Park because it is free no matter what you are riding in/on and they connect so you can see both parks. They both share a very large beautiful sandy beach. There are 3 restaurants on the island and a small coffee shop that are all within walking distance of the hotel. Sometimes the hours are odd so check before you leave! There is one small convenience store on the island that sells almost anything you can think of in case you forget something. The venue has a pool/hot tub, pickleball, and a golf course. You can ride the ferry back over to Bayfield and there are many small shops that are fun to explore. There is also multiple restaurants right on the water with beautiful views.
