We’re Getting Hitched!!!

We met in 2020 at Chi Alpha, a campus ministry at the University of South Dakota. In March 2021, after talking through the entirety of a volleyball game, Steven asked me (Emmy) to coffee (which, I didn’t realize, was a date but he knew!) Ever since then, we’ve been inseparable.

The week leading up to our proposal, I (Emmy) found out all the information! When, where, who else would be there— the only thing I didn’t find out was what the ring looked like and what Steven was going to say! That morning, when he picked me up, I started crying immediately because I was so excited! After, we had breakfast at the same spot we had our first date, Cafe Brule, and it was so special!
