They swiped right and the rest is history.
It was a cold winter night. Andrew worked at getting Morgan to meet him for a drink at the Dubliner in downtown Omaha, NE for a few days before she finally said yes. The day of, Morgan chickened out and decided she wasn’t sure of another first date so she made up several excuses. “I’m new to Omaha and don’t know where the bar is and can’t google at work.” - Andrew sent the address “I’m working late. I’m not sure I can make it.” - Andrew replied “it’s fine. I’ll be here regardless.” By the time Morgan finally showed up (an hour later), Andrew had begun to think he’d been stood up. 30 minutes into the date, Morgan knew she would be spending a lot of time with the handsome man across the table from her.
After many concerned family members asking when he’d do it, he finally popped the question. Morgan and Andrew were in South Dakota for a Woodring family reunion. Andrew knew the 4th of July was Morgan’s favorite holiday and enlisted the help of her mother to coordinate the proposal and fireworks that weekend. On Friday, July 5, 2019, Andrew got down next to Morgan during the firework display and asked “So what do you think? Should we get married?” Morgan’s response? “Are you serious?” Many tears later, the answer was given. Of course!
