Hi, everyone! Less than one month to go to our big day! As the wedding bells are beginning to chime, we feel so fortunate to be surrounded by the love of our family and friends. We treasure everyone who sends their wishes our way, and especially are grateful for those who plan to travel to North Carolina to celebrate with us in person, but we must acknowledge our current situation that was announced to us this past week. Due to the current the COVID-19 pandemic, our church has restricted our wedding ceremony to family only. We are deeply saddened by this development, but we would love and encourage for you all to celebrate our marriage with us at the reception with food, drinks, music, and fun! This is an evolving situation, so say your prayers and as soon as we know any more details, we will let you know! Any updates concerning COVID-19 in North Carolina will be posted on our website at zola.com/wedding/emmataylor2020 We understand that this news may cause you to re-evaluate your travel plans and may change your response. If this is the case, please let us know as soon as possible. But, we look forward to celebrating with all of you! Belmont is held near and dear to mine and Taylor's hearts. It is such a cute, little town with lots of fun restaurants, stores, and character; I know you all will love it as much as Taylor and I do! :) We are so appreciative of the love and support you all have given us and continue to give us as we prepare for our sacrament and the rest of our lives together. Blessings, Emma & Taylor
"I had just gotten to Belmont Abbey after a long flight back to school. I dropped off my bags, grabbed two cases of beer for the weekend, and headed to the cafeteria to grab a bite to eat. I make my plate of food, set my plate down next to some of my baseball boys, and realize I forgot my silverware. As I'm making my way back to grab a fork, I catch eye of the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, Emma. She was sitting with some of her friends she had just met by the window and gosh, I will never forget the feeling I got when I saw her. It was something I had never felt before. I swear by this, I walk back to my buddies after that moment and say, "Hey, you see that girl over there? I'm going to marry her". They teased me and said that there would be no chance, but I didn't care what they said, I was determined to prove them wrong! After seeing Emma for the first time in the cafeteria, I was hoping to see her again that weekend. I wasn't being a stalker, but I won't deny that I made sure to walk across campus a couple times hoping to find her again! First day of class rolls around and I'm running late to my Scripture class. I have to be about 20 minutes late after a long weekend of "back to school partying" haha! I open up the door and the class is full. I look around to see if I can find any open seats in the classroom, and what do you know, there is one open seat next to my future wife, Emma. I sit next to Emma and ponder how I should make my first impression on her. I'm just about to say something to her, but the teacher asks the class to pull out their Bibles. As I'm opening my Bible, Emma taps me on the shoulder and says she hadn't gotten any of her books yet and asked if she could share mine with me. Of course, I say yes and we hit it off from there. ... and here I am now, three years later getting married to the love of my life. Told you I'd prove my friends wrong!!" - Taylor
