Attire

Take a look at what kind of attire is appropriate for our wedding reception! Typical clothing will be muted and more formal colors. As this is a Muslim wedding, both men and women are encouraged to dress modestly. Women are not required to wear a head covering, however, it is best practice to show little to no skin. Men should wear long sleeve shirts, and definitely no shorts.

Men's

Suit

A jacket and trousers worn for a sharp, polished look.

Men's

Shalwar Kameez

A men's shalwar kameez is a long tunic and loose pants, worn for comfort and tradition.

Men's

Sherwani

A men's sherwani is a long, formal coat worn over a kurta and trousers, often for weddings and special occasions.

Women's

Evening Gown

A floor-length dress. Dresses with embroidery and beadwork are encouraged!

Women's

Sharara Dress

A women's sharara dress features wide-legged, flared pants paired with a long, embellished tunic.

Women's

Anarkali Dress

A long, frock-style dress that's fitted on top and flows out beautifully. Usually worn with slim pants underneath.
