1. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. No guest wearing white eg. white dresses and white suits.

2. Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Our entire wedding is taking place at Madison Greenhouse.

3. Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

4. What will the weather be like this time of year? Should we dress for the weather?

Answer

The weather is usually cold around this time of year with average temperatures around 3.1 °C or 37.5 °F. We suggest that you dress warm for your travel to our wedding, however please note that our venue is a heated greenhouse.

5. What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Guest will be asked to head to the cocktail area where they can enjoy light refreshments, sign our guestbook and mingle! The Wedding Party, family members and close family friends will be taking photos during this time.

6. Seeing that this is Fall/ Winter wedding I am worried about the cold. Can I kept on my outdoor jacket/coat?

Answer

While we understand your concern, our venue is a heated greenhouse. As we do not want any jackets/coats captured in our wedding footage, we ask that you hang up your outdoor jacket/coat in the designated area or leave your outdoor jacket/coat in your car if possible. If you are still worried about the temperature considered wearing a suit jacket, long sleeves or shawl.

7. I am a family member/close family friend. Will we be taking photos outside and if so can we wear our outdoor jackets/coats?

Answer

Our photos will be taken indoors in the heated greenhouse. However there is a potential for taking a few photos outside. As we do not want any jackets/coats captured in our wedding footage, we ask that if we do end up taking photos you do not wear your outdoor jacket/coat.

8. Is parking free?

Answer

Yes parking is free.

9. What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time. That way we can get the party started as scheduled and have an amazing day :)

10. Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. This being said family members from overseas with kids have been given special invite for their kids. Overseas family members with kids please review your Save The Date instructions, to make sure that you have correctly filled out your kids info card.

11. Can I bring a date or a plus 1?

Answer

We have a strict guest list and our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only accommodate those with invitations who have sent their RSVP.

12. Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free dietary options?

Answer

Please let us know your dietary needs in your RSVP.

13. Are you registered? If so, where?

Answer

Yes we are registered with MyRegistry.com! Check it out, you can access it here on our Wedding Website. Feel free to send an E-transfer to eatmsp1@gmail.com if you are uncomfortable with Paypal. Also we are happy to accept monetary gifts in cards :)

14. Can I take and post pictures and videos of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, feel free to post pictures on your social media channels, we just ask that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #MelAndEmanSayAdu so we can keep track of all of your pictures! We also ask you to use the Wedshoots app as we are not really active on social media, and it is a great way for you to share with us the amazing photos and videos you have taken. More info about the Wedshoot App will be provided later.

15. Will you be using any photo sharing apps to allow guests to easily share the photos and videos that they captured?

Answer

Yes, but we are still looking for the right one. If you have any recommendations, let us know.

16. What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

17. When is the RSVP deadline? How do I RSVP?

Answer

Our RSVP deadline is August 6th 2022. You will need to RSVP online here on our wedding website.

18. Where can I find the Invitation, Program, Registry and RSVP?

Answer

We have gone digital! Our Invitation, Details, Registry and RSVP can only be found and accessed here on our website. The Invitation, Details, Registry and RSVP remain at the top bar of our website and are accessible at all times.
