It all started with a DM... We were both presidents of an organization at our schools. There was a group chat for all of the presidents in Texas. Emmanuel noticed Jessica in the group chat and decided to direct message her. He kindly asked for a date and she agreed. A few months later they lost contact with each other. Fast forward to 2016, Emmanuel decided to message Jessica again, but this time Jessica was not as reluctant to entertain him. Emmanuel was consistent and open about his intentions, so Jessica finally decided to give him another shot. Instantly, the two became inseparable, and the rest was history!

Lets just say, we were off to a rocky start! Emmanuel and Jessica were scheduled for a luxury helicopter photoshoot with their photographer/friend, Tony. On the morning of the shoot, Jessica wasn't too happy with Emmanuel, and considered cancelling the shoot in totality! Emmanuel convinced Jessica to continue with the photoshoot although she was not in the mood. They went for the photoshoot, where Emmanuel later tried cheering Jessica up by telling her that they will be riding on the helicopter after taking pictures. Jessica agreed to the ride. They flew all over Houston, Texas above several landmarks. After about 30 minutes of flying, Jessica noticed that the helicopter was slowly landing. She looked out the window, where she notice a LARGE group of people and a LARGE white sign that stated "will you marry me?" She immediately started crying and couldn't believe what was happening. They got out of the helicopter and walked towards the large group of family and friends. In the middle of the group, Emmanuel got on one knee. Following the proposal, Emmanuel and Jessica had an intimate dinner. Little did Jessica know, there was an entire surprise engagement party waiting a few miles away. The night ended beautifully with family and friends at the engagement party. This night was the beginning of a wonderful journey to becoming one.
